Description of the Course Content
Festivals, Sporting Events and Live Music Concerts, entertain millions of audience members globally, on an annual basis. History informs us that even with the best planning in place, crowd related injuries and sometimes fatalities, can occur during a live performance, which could have been prevented if a robust Showstop® Procedure had been in place.
Having plans in place to respond effectively to safety incidents and other emergencies that might occur at an event, is a legal requirement in many countries around the world but, there are also financial, reputational and ethical reasons why we should plan for safety incidents and emergencies.
The Showstop® Procedure is a proven crisis intervention measure for those with specific roles and responsibility, for the safety of crowds. The Showstop® Procedure aims to simplify and standardise, often misunderstood and complex Show Stop Procedures, with the simplified and proven Showstop® Procedure, that significantly reduces the likelihood of major injuries or fatalities, to members of the audience which may have otherwise been preventable.
Course Aim
To equip those with responsibility for the safety of crowds, at sport and entertainment events, with the knowledge and understanding to plan for, and apply, the Showstop® Procedure effectively within their own events, venues and in multi-agency environments.
Learning Outcomes
This programmes will enable the successful candidates to:
